Jeff Fields, Chief Information Officer of Magazines.com, the largest and the most dependable magazine subscription service on the Internet, has been elected to the Nashville Technology Council Board of Directors for the 2011-2012 term.

An affiliate of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Nashville Technology Council’s mission is to help the Middle Tennessee technology community succeed by being a leader in education, innovation, exposure, and facilitating community connections.

“I am honored to be on the Nashville Technology Council board of directors and to serve the members the council represents,” said Fields. “This organization has been successfully serving the more than 400 members of Middle Tennessee’s technology industry for 12 years, and I look forward to working with my fellow board members to keep the momentum going.”

Fields joined Magazines.com as chief information officer in 2010. As CIO, Fields oversees all information and technology operations for the organization, including website development and infrastructure management. Prior to joining Magazines.com, Fields served as CIO-Senior Vice President of SafeAuto Insurance Company, where he created an e-commerce delivery platform and built an organization that led to a significant migration of consumer revenues from offline channels to online.

The Nashville Technology Council has five major initiatives for 2011-2012 including increasing member engagement through high quality programs and events.

    Let me start by saying nice post. Im not sure if it has been talked about, but when using Chrome I can never get the entire site to load without refreshing many times. Could just be my computer. Thanks.
